He has led 3 Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs, taught Musculoskeletal Practice Management and Manual Therapy courses, and won the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopedic Section James a Gould Teaching Award, a national award given to the single most deserving teaching professor annually. He also speaks internationally on a regular basis.
As a scholar, Dr Hegedus focuses on relevant clinical questions in the orthopedic and sports diagnosis, prevention, and treatment realms. He has over 85 peer-reviewed articles, 20 abstracts, and 7 book chapters.
He continues to see patients which remains a passion along with pursuit of continued growth and learning.
