Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

What is the current best approach?

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition described to affect the Hand-Wrist region. Repetitive hand motions appear to be a mechanism considered to be linked to this condition…but is this the main cause? Severity can vary amongst people with presentations of either or both sensory and motor symptoms. Does severity change our approach to management, and if yes how do we classify severity? Management options range from conservative to surgery, and it appears both the indication and prognosis of various interventions could vary dependant on severity. Definitely, early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for better outcomes and symptom management, however, can this condition also be confused with other possible conditions?

It therefore appears there is quite a bit we should consider when approaching the management of a possible carpal tunnel syndrome! Want to learn more? Join us on this module providing the latest information linked to better understanding this condition.
