PROFESSOR
Dr. Søren T. Skou is a Professor at the University of Southern Denmark and head of a multiprofessional research group at Næstved-Slagelse-Ringsted Hospitals. He has vast experience within the field of early treatment of knee pain and has been the principal investigator of several randomized controlled trials on the treatment of knee pain, one of which was published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Skou is one of the main architects of the implementation of the highly successful treatment program Good Life With osteoarthritis in Denmark (GLA:D®) for patients with knee and hip osteoarthritis. He is also a recipient of an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council and the prestigious Sapere Aude Research Talent Award from the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
