Nicol Van Dyk
Nicol van Dyk is a physiotherapist in the Rehabilitation Department at Aspetar Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Hospital in Doha, Qatar.
Originally from South Africa, he graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Stellenbosch University in 2005, and completed his MSc in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy in 2010. During the 2010 FIFA® World Cup in South Africa, he worked at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa.
He currently occupies a role as coordinator for the musculoskeletal component of the periodic health evaluation at Aspetar as well as treating athletes. Nicol is an associate editor and editorial board member of BJSM, and is currently completing his PhD in injury prevention studying risk factors for hamstring injuries in elite football players.
