Lauren Stone
She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Pelvic, Obstetric & Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) Professional Network.
She has extensive understanding of female anatomy and physiology and is passionate about empowering women to find their inner as well as outer strength.
Lauren graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015 with a BSc First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy and achieved the prestigious Mary Littlewood Award for the highest clinical placement marks in the year.
Since graduating, Lauren has worked within NHS physiotherapy services at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.
Having completed her core physiotherapy rotations, in 2017 she was successful in achieving a specialist dual speciality post and is the youngest ever Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist within the Trust.
Within her role in the NHS, she is involved in delivering women’s health and musculoskeletal services as well as supervising junior physiotherapists. She is a trained union steward for the CSP and is actively involved in ongoing physiotherapy service improvement projects within the Trust, including improving women's health care for marginalised patients.
She is a registered clinical educator with the Sheffield Hallam University and is involved in training BSc and Pre registration MSc physiotherapy students.
Lauren has also guest lectured for the Sheffield Hallam University, lecturing on the role of women’s health physiotherapy.
In addition to NHS practice, Lauren also works as a private specialist women's health and musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Remedy Physio.
Lauren is passionate about weight training and is a regional champion bodybuilder. She won the title of UKBFF North East Wellness Champion in 2019 and went on to compete at the UKBFF British finals. She is currently preparing for her next competition within the IBFA Toned Figure division.
She competes as a 100% lifetime natural athlete and is an advocate for prioritising female health.
