Episode summary

How force plate and dynamometry results are turned into specific exercises for a netball player after shoulder stabilization, what changed at retesting, and a staged framework of push-up and shock absorption progressions.

From the first test session Ben chose four exercises: eccentric external rotation at 90/90 to regain range, long lever isometric holds in the I and T positions starting at 50 to 60 percent of the force plate score, kneeling box drop landings for shock absorption, and seated medicine ball throws for rate of force development. At six months the ASH tests had a more box-shaped curve and more peak force, but rate of force development and time to peak force still lagged. Countermovement push-up symmetry improved once landing work began, while braking impulse stayed low. The box drop land showed more load through the affected side with poorer stabilization. The next block added fast landmine presses, a partner drop and catch in the T position on a cable machine, offset push-ups to bias the affected arm, and medicine ball rotations. The part closes with a progression table for concentric force, eccentric shock absorption, early plyometrics and eccentric-concentric work, moving from kneeling push-ups through deficit and band-assisted variations to clap and elevated plyometric push-ups.
